Pauline Alexander is one of Scotland's finest singers who hails from the East End of Glasgow.  Her beautiful vocals are reminiscent of Sandy Denny with their easy on the ear and centred style.   Performing as part of an acoustic duo, she has been accompanied by various guitarist over the years.

Pauline regularly plays at festivals and clubs around the UK, bringing with her a blend of original and interpreted song from a range of genres that include contemporary, folk & blues.

'Thoughts For The Masses' is Pauline's debut album and an Iain Anderson album of the week on his BBC Radio Scotland show.  The album was also featured on Brian Player Folk and Roots, Acoustic Radio as well as 'Record of the Week' on Revival FM as voted for by the listeners. Other highlights of her music career have been an Isambard Folk Award nomination, supporting Rumer, Dougie MacLean & Shelagh McDonald and being invited to sing at the Burns Cottage for their very own Burns Supper.

 

TV, BBC Radio and a number of community and specialist programming have all played Pauline's music or invited her to perform.  Her TV credits have included a live performance with Edwin Gallacher on STV Glasgow's Riverside show and her Dear Sister music video was played on The Phil Mack Country Show.  BBC Radio airplay has included Iain Anderson' Show, Frank Hennesey's Celtic Heartbeat, Colum Sand's Folk Show, Genevieve Tudor's Sunday Folk, Gordon Swindlehurst's Show, Keith Greentree's 'The Big Country Show' and Dean Jackson's The Beat.  Mike Harding has also played her music too.

 

As well as performing under her own name, Pauline has provided vocals for other musical projects.
